Hi, I’m Stephanie (she/her), a dance artist & teacher, arts administrator, and 200hr Certified Yoga Teacher originally from NJ and currently based in Burlington, VT. I hold a BA in Dance and BA in Psychology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where I was immersed in the Five College Dance Department. I grew up as a competition kid training in everything from ballet, to jazz, to contemporary and hip hop. In college I focused on my studies of improvisation, modern, and postmodern contemporary dance techniques.
I’ve had the privilege of learning from so many phenomenal teachers and mentors in the Five College Dance Department and in my post-graduate career thus far. Jenna Riegel, Barbie Diewald, Molly Fletcher Lynch, Bronwyn MacArthur, Paul Dennis, Chloe London, to name a few, have helped shape the artist and human I am.
Since moving to Burlington, VT in 2023, I’ve become involved in the lively dance scene, training, performing, collaborating, and making new work.
I’m honored to have danced in many works and performances in Western MA, NYC, and Burlington, VT with and for so many talented artists. I’m currently a freelance artist and teacher, and I dance with Slow Shapes Dance Company based in South Burlington, VT.
Additionally, I am an arts administrator and stage manager. I’ve stage managed, assisted and produced many live and virtual performances for both dance and theater during my time at UMass and professionally. I currently work in arts administration at the Flynn theatre in Burlington, VT.
